Following an inspection that took place on 24 to 26 June 2025, Ofsted has rated the overall effectiveness of Elevation Academy to be “GOOD”.
This means they have confirmed we’re delivering high-quality training for the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Apprenticeship. We’re proud that the inspectors recognised our ambitious curriculum, expert tutors and on-the-job preparation, including the additional qualification we offer such as asbestos awareness and Level 3 BS:5839-1.
We would like to thank all our apprentices for being so hard-working and dedicated to their apprenticeship with us, which Ofsted particularly noted:
“Apprentices demonstrate professional attitudes to their on- and off-the-job training. They work diligently and with enthusiasm and respond very positively to the high expectations set by tutors to arrive at training sessions punctually, wear a work uniform and have study materials ready.”
We are committed to empowering our apprentices with the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KBSs) necessary to do their jobs and experience the wider working world. It is reaffirming to see the inspectors comment on this in their report saying that our apprentices “produce practical work in line with industry standards and work safely when attending off-the-job training and while at work.”
This positive sentiment was also echoed in the inspector’s evaluation of the curriculum: “The curriculum is ambitious and prepares apprentices effectively to conduct a wide range of fire and security duties”. Our Level 3 programme is build by industry, for industry and prepares apprentices for real-world work from day one.
The report also notes how our leaders “have a secure and firm understanding of the progress that apprentices make”, which reflects the dedication of our staff and tutors in developing our apprentices.
We are incredibly proud of our achievement, especially as a newer academy. However, just because we have received GOOD, doesn’t mean we are going to stop pushing for GREAT (and an Outstanding rating, next time Ofsted inspect our academy)! We’re always looking to improve our academy to make it a safe, fun and engaging space for everyone.
